Carved Pink Mother of Pearl Bulldog Button

I picked up this gorgeous pink mother of pearl at Kentucky Lake several years ago.  This bulldog is one of just a few things that I have carved from it.  The mother of pearl is very solid and thick.  I left much of the shell's outside surface, after sanding and polishing, on the back side of the button.  The button measures 1 1/2 inches at the longest measurement.  I embedded a gold plated eyelet into the back for a shank, and inscribed my signature and the date on the back side as well.
